Financial Aid
Student Loans
Federal Stafford Loans:
U.S. citizens and permanent residents who are registered for at least 4.5 credits per term are eligible to receive a guaranteed Federal Stafford Loan in the amount of $20,500 per year.
Federal Graduate PLUS Loans:
Students who borrow the full $20,500 in Federal Stafford Loans may also borrow a Federal Graduate PLUS loan of up to the estimated cost of attendance minus any other financial aid. This loan requires a determination that the applicant does not have an adverse credit history.
To be eligible for the Stafford Loan and the Graduate PLUS Loan, students must first complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), indicating the Title IV code number for Yeshiva University: 002903. A financial aid offer will be emailed to you, along with additional information and instructions on applying for student loans online via the Cardozo Law website.
Students in the United States on a student visa are not eligible to receive federal loans.
Private Student Loans:
Students who are ineligible to receive federal loans may want to consider borrowing a private student loan. Approval of a private loan is based on creditworthiness. Please feel free to search online for potential private student loan lender options. Please note that international students may need a cosigner who has established credit in the United States.
